Notes from 1-11-2012 Web Design Class:

Define, Design, Build, Maintain

Define - Gather requirements and understand business and audience objectives; creative brief

Design - Architecture, Copywriting and Visual Design, User Testing

Build - Code, Usability Testing, QA, Launch

Maintain - Marketing and Communications Plans

-There will be at least four quizzes and a final presentation that will include our own webpage that we created. There will be a homework assignment due every week along with readings.

About Me

My name is Eric Ely. I am currently a Senior at the University of Michigan Dearborn. I am double majoring in Electronic Media and Visual Communications along with Public Relations and Culture Studies.

My main interests are sports especially baseball and basketball. My main passion is nutrition and fitness. I would really like to work for a nutrition company someday either with marketing or as a public relations practitioner.

My idea for the final project consists of making a website that will deal with fitness and nutrition programs along with reviews and ratings of different nutrition products. I want to include a forum board on the webpage that will also include a live chat for any members to ask questions to others regarding workouts, dieting, nutrition, or any other kind of advice that they would be looking for.
